" 'You're so pretty, you're so beautiful, gorgeous, lovelyyy.' Blah blah blah. Okay, so you're not blind."
"I would most like to walk down the runway to 'My Prerogative' by Britney Spears."
How can anyone hate her

just had an opinion post about it. I'm going to reread it, but I gave my initial thoughts. The OP mentioned the few technical errors, which we agreed gave the book a familiar feeling. The rest of my comment:
When I heard she was publishing an ED memoir, I was psyched: do you know of any others by lesbians? EDs in women are so often incorrectly and dangerously assumed to be a desire for male attention, and experiencing homophobia can play into self-destructive behaviors and mental illnesses, and I was really excited to read her takes on those issues. And she did mention it frequently, but the book fell kind of … flat. People with limited knowledge of eating disorders may get more out of it. There were moments when I laughed—early on when she was out, her mother(? I should be fact-checking) warned her against being "too" out, and she said something to the effect of "At least I'm not dating Ellen DeGeneres." But like I said, it was underwhelming for me, although I have heard lots of positive reviews from eating-disordered folk. I guess it's different strokes.
Oh—the photos of her around her lowest weight that were sandwiched in the middle of the book were completely unnecessary.
is the review that was linked in the post.
